 Preventative Medical Care
Physical examinations, vaccinations, diagnostic services and and other health care plans maximize the health and well-being of your pet. We offer a variety of soft tissue surgical services including spay, neuter and numerous other surgical procedures. Bluegrass Animal Hospital has digital and digital dental radiography units.
Housecall Appointments
We offer housecall services for a variety of patient needs, including euthanasia. Please call the clinic to speak with us about scheduling a housecall.
Dental Health
We greatly value the dental health of our patients. We have a dental cleaning unit to accompany our digital dental radiography unit. Every patient who has a dental cleaning will have dental radiographs to allow our veterinarians to see what exists inside the patient’s mouth under the gums and internally within the teeth.
Advanced Treatment Facilities
We have an in-house ultrasound unit to aid in the services we are able to provide to our patients. We have a pharmacy located within the hospital carrying a variety of medications. These medications are used to aid in the treatment of ailments ranging from acute to chronic disease. We have an in house blood work laboratory that allows us to run a complete blood count (CBC), chemistry panels and electrolytes. We also have the capability to run a multitude of tests including PT/PTT, urinalysis, feline leukemia, feline AIDS, canine heartworm infections, feline heartworm infections, canine parvovirus and thyroid levels. Bluegrass Animal Hospital utilizes the Alphatrak glucometer which is designed specifically for the measurement of glucose levels in canine and feline patients. We have a Tonopen tonometer used to measure the ocular pressure of our patients who are at risk or have been diagnosed with glaucoma.
Micro Chipping
We offer micro chipping services and use the ResQ® microchip at Bluegrass Animal Hospital.
